If you manage to find a better driver stack with good XInput compatibility you may solve it, like by using an actual USB adapter with drivers, so the mappings can be done in hardware, then sent as ordinary XInput-data. For Dolphin, PCSX2 and Bsnes, I launched the emulators and then customized a Steam controller profile to allow me to use mouse input to set things up.

For older DirectInput or RAW i am guessing it may work better depending on how the drivers are written. The games you mention use XInput for instance, that will heavily rely on HID-compliant DirectX middleware to get control inputs. So it actually messes up on the "sender" part of the incoming HID messages. My guess is that you have Windows HID-manager interfering with signals, as it is not playing nice with the device-id code in your hacked driver.

The problem is that the "HID-compliant game controller" is the HID that is registered by the Bluetooth stack when I connect my Wii U Pro Controller. bsnes comes in three different profiles (accuracy, balanced and performance) which contain. As a result, the minimum system requirements are greater than with other emulators. It never uses speed or compatibility hacks. It focuses on accuracy and clean code above all else. However, Sonic Adventure was the first game I came across where both this problem existed AND I actually wanted to use a controller. bsnes is a Super Nintendo emulator that began development on. Some games, however, have "ghost inputs", typically in the form of the camera or character constantly moving to the left. I’m so close to getting my ideal setup, but it’s frustrating when my keys keep being re-mapped to something else and I’m pretty sure I didn’t do it It seems like i’ll get both SNES controllers painstakingly mapped to KB keys and have it all working in the bsnes core and menu, i’ll load something else up and it gets messed up and forgets/changes my settings. My SNES controller doesn’t have this? Is there a guide somewhere that is for the Windows version of RA that you’d recommend for setting up multiple controllers? Everything i’ve seen when i’ve googled is for retropie/linux. Ok, I checked the wiki page and it says retropad “must have at least one analogue stick”.
